NexGen Construction crew on a commercial site

About NexGen

Built on the work, not the marketing.

Who we are, what we stand for, and how we got here.

Our Story

From the first pour to today.

NexGen Construction was founded by David Duran on a straightforward idea: commercial concrete should be done by the people who actually pour it. Too many projects get sold by one company and handed off to whoever's available. We started by taking on the jobs that demanded a crew who'd stand behind the finish — and built a reputation one clean pour at a time.

The work that proved we belonged in the commercial space was a Raising Cane's in Hemet. The trash-enclosure pad had failed — asphalt breaking up under the weight of daily service — and it had to be rebuilt in reinforced concrete around a restaurant that never closed. We formed, poured, and finished it on a working timeline without interrupting operations. That job told us the commercial market was where we could do our best work.

From there the business grew the way good trade businesses do — on referrals and repeat clients who knew the job would be right the first time. We expanded beyond flatwork into the electrical coordination and renovation scopes that commercial projects need, and pushed our service area out across the SoCal triangle, from San Diego to Los Angeles to Palm Springs.

Today NexGen serves facility owners, general contractors, and institutions that need commercial and industrial concrete done by a crew that self-performs and stands behind it. No layers, no handoffs — the people who price your job are the people who build it.

Owner & Founder

David Duran

David Duran came up in concrete the way most good finishers do — on the jobsite, on his knees, learning the trade from the people who'd been doing it longest. Years of flatwork, formwork, and commercial pours taught him what separates a pad that lasts from one that cracks: preparation, honest measurements, and a crew that cares how the edge looks.

What clients come back for is the straight talk. David walks the site, tells you what the job actually needs, and prices what's there — no padded bids, no surprise change orders halfway through. When NexGen gives you a number and a date, that's the number and the date.

Based in Riverside County, David built NexGen to be the contractor he'd want to hire — reachable, accountable, and on-site. Call the number below and you're talking to the owner, not a call center.

What We Stand For

Our values.

The standards every NexGen crew works to — on every bid, every pour, every project.

Bid Accurately

No surprise change orders, no padded numbers. We walk the site, measure the work, and price what's actually there.

Self-Perform the Work

Concrete is our trade. We don't sub it out and lose control of quality. The crew on your jobsite is our crew.

Deliver on Schedule

Your project has a calendar — opening dates, equipment installs, occupied operations. We work around them, not the other way around.

Where We Work

Southern California — the SoCal triangle.

From San Diego up through Los Angeles and out to Palm Springs — our crews mobilize across the SoCal triangle, with a base in Riverside County. If your project sits inside that footprint, we can be on-site to walk it and bid it.
