Our Story
From the first pour to today.
NexGen Construction was founded by David Duran on a straightforward idea: commercial concrete should be done by the people who actually pour it. Too many projects get sold by one company and handed off to whoever's available. We started by taking on the jobs that demanded a crew who'd stand behind the finish — and built a reputation one clean pour at a time.
The work that proved we belonged in the commercial space was a Raising Cane's in Hemet. The trash-enclosure pad had failed — asphalt breaking up under the weight of daily service — and it had to be rebuilt in reinforced concrete around a restaurant that never closed. We formed, poured, and finished it on a working timeline without interrupting operations. That job told us the commercial market was where we could do our best work.
From there the business grew the way good trade businesses do — on referrals and repeat clients who knew the job would be right the first time. We expanded beyond flatwork into the electrical coordination and renovation scopes that commercial projects need, and pushed our service area out across the SoCal triangle, from San Diego to Los Angeles to Palm Springs.
Today NexGen serves facility owners, general contractors, and institutions that need commercial and industrial concrete done by a crew that self-performs and stands behind it. No layers, no handoffs — the people who price your job are the people who build it.
